Default Fuel Sending Unit

For a while now my gas gauage has not been working write has anybody found a way to solve the problem? I was searching around and found this https://dodgeforum.com/m_508851/tm.htm scroll all the way to the last post has anybody tried it?

There's a easier fix that "might" work, it did for me.

When you get down to about a 1/4 tank, dump 2 containers of Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus (the "Plus" part is VERY important) into the tank and drive it until you're almost bone dry. Then fill up like normal at a station that sells top tier gas.

Apparently there's a silver strip in the floater gauge that easily gets contaminated by sulfur and other impurities and the techron can clean it off, if this is indeed your problem. The reasoning behind the top tier gas stations is that these companies run more detergents in their gas than mom and pop places. Here's a list of top tier stations:

I've used it religiously for 2 years now and never had a repeat of the problem.

Is it ok for that to be sitting aroud for week's it doesnt get driven much rite now
