In the 42 RLE it is located on top of the valve body. It is part of the gear shift position sensor. You have to pull the pan, pull the valve body, and then replace the gear shift position sensor to take care of your issue.

Is this the same location for the 46re?

Drop the pan, remove the filter, and governor pressure sensor and solenoid are right there.
