Did the ABS/brake lights act up at the same time as the headlights?
My headlights will not come onoccasionally. I hit the headlight flasher level( the highbeam/turn signalswitch, pulled towards you ) a couple times and they come right on. I believe the switch contacts get dirty and this clears it...until the next time.
I hope this works for you; I can't help you with the ABS though. Good luck.
