Default Blinking Engine Light

Used the search and did not find what I was needing so here I am.

At high rate of speed my engine light begins to flash. When I let off the throttle it will stop once my speed drops down below 80. I have never seen this before. Any ideas.

My bet would be Air to fuel ratio which would indicate cat. or 02 sensor(s).

And BTW, if you keep driving at 80 or above the flashing CEL will be the least of your probs.

Pshh 80 is nothing, i have mine up to 110 or at least in the 90s plenty of times. I just hope i dont hit a bump, or a leaf.[:@]My guess too would be the 02 sensor, your air to fuel mixture may be off at that high of speeds. Maybe you should get it checked out at autozone or just get a new one, theyre cheap

WRONG!

A blinking CE light means that you have a misfire on one or more cylinder. Go to your FLAPS and have them pull the codes for your engine. You either have a faulty injector connection, a bad injector (unlikely), or if the misfire is on #6 and/or #8, a clogged catalytic converter.

Been there, done that, read the book, and own the t-shirt.

I read your post and you're wrong. Tell you what scout around here and read up on the three threads I have devoted to the R&R of my engine. Maybe you'll learn something. I'd love to know where you came up with that load of BS you call helpful information in your post.[sm=alcoholic.gif]

You said cat or O2 sensor along with some wild story about air/fuel mixture being off, which was WRONG. A blinking CEL is a MISFIRE.
