I just got a quote, $1245 plus tax. Next time I'm in the area of the installer I'm going to swing in and check out what he'd be putting in, and look over some pics of past installs.

just curious if there's an update to this. i really want a power sunroof/moonroof installed on my 07 quad cab. definately want it to be as large as possible. ive heard quotes from 800-1500 depending on the body shop, but not sure if there any recommended kits or if they're all pretty much the same.

It would deffinetly be sweet. But $1200 is gears or a winch bumper, so I don't know...

No real updates.

Stopped in and looked his work over, I was really impressed, but ultimately decided to wait on it until I decided if my truck was a long term personal vehicle, or if I was going to end up using it for the business. Once I determine it's going to be a personal vehicle, I'll plan on a paint job and moon roof install.

As far as kits, anytime I found a kit, it cost basically the same amount as what the guy installing it would charge. Guessing they get significant discounts on them. $800 seems a bit low for a price, especially for the work involved. I will admit I didn't spend a lot of time looking for do it yourself kits because I hate body work, and wouldn't even think of doing it myself.

Size wise, it was similar to a factory style moon roof from a couple years ago, before the auto makers started making them the entire roof of the car.

I don't have one but I wish I did. Someday it might get added although that is a lot of money.

I have a factory one in both the 96 Accord we have and the 06 Accord. I love them although I don't use them that often. When I do use them they are nice.

The 94 Chevy Caprice doesn't have one but it was also given to me by my grandmother for free. Not something we bought new.

The truck doesn't have one as we also bought it slightly used and had to get it how they came.

The other two cars we bought new which is why both of them have it.

Have a feeling it is going to be my personal truck, but still want to wait until the finance trades her car in and gets a moonroof for herself, otherwise she'll be wanting to drive the truck even more then she does now. She drove it once this winter when the roads were bad and now wants to 'borrow' it all the time. I can't imagine the looks she get's when she's driving it.

What happened with mine, she's hated it since day one, hated the exhaust, hated how I drove it..."why do you have to floor it"

She wanted to go to the store this winter during a storm and I was buried in paperwork. Told her how to put in in 4x4 and to just take the truck. She said she was annoyed with how slow someone was going so she kicked it down to pass. She was surprised by how it just kicked down and went, the exhaust note...etc...and loved it. Go figure.

She's never complained about anything related to it since. She's black, about 5'4, and not at all what you'd expect to jump out of a second gen ram...'specially in summer when it's mini skirt season. Have a pic of her climbing into my old wrangler in a mini, and as much as I liked it, told her no more mini's in the jeep...lol Probably make the same rule if she drives the truck this summer

well my ram is only about 2 weeks new (at least to me, its actually an 07) but my fiance is already in love with it. shes pretty determined to trade her lincoln LS in for an excursion now since i dont let her drive my truck and i even have to go so far as to hide my keys when i go to bed. i think chicks n trucks are hot (especially with the mini skirts :P) but she's gotta get her own, this one's mine!!

but about the sunroof, ill keep researching and post any updates i find (or pics if i can get it done for a bargain, long as the shop is reputable enough to be cutting up my new baby lol).
