Thanks Tom,
I think you valve cover gasket is leaking? Or you valve guide is leaking. As for the miss fire your spark plug is all fouled up with oil so that may be why you have the miss fire.
I bought the truck a year ago and I put new heads on it, now 23,000 miles later.Im gettingoil on the spark plug on the inside of the block, not were the wires snap on. When the misfire happens with the torqueconverter locket up whileim driving I can really feal itthrow the truck, tap the brake and it goes away.im gnu take my valve cover off and check my valve stem seals today
I have already replaced the plenum gasket and I look down the throttle body and its clean. My cat was hollowed out years ago and never gave me eny problems. Im taking my valve cover off right now..

I've got kindof the same thing with my number three cylinder, cept the miss was caused by a bad wire. I just pull the plug 'bout once a month and spray it down with some carb 'n' choke and put her back in, runs like a champ! Eventually I'll get around to checking the rings but I'm saving up for a tranny right now, any suggestions...
