I NEED A TRANSMISSION DAMMIT
Sorry to be rude but i put a post out yesterday requesting info on whether or not i need a new transmission and if so what website is good one to find one, and NO ONE RESPONDED. IMAGINE THAT WITH THIS GREAT BIG OL'E WEBSITE FULL OF DODGE EXPERTS not one swinging ******** had an idea. But if some one had blown up an engine or a GREAT DEBATE on Flowmaster VS Magna Flow, hell that would set a record on the no. of hits. Now that I have your attention ( pissed off or otherwise ) can someone direct me to a reputable transmission site, person, guru, whatever that has reasonably priced transmissions? I drive a 98 RAM 1500 SPORT4X4 with a 5.9L V-8. Thank you
Dr evil transmissions I hear is good or APS is good (when i do my trans it willbe1 of those 2) OR you can get off yourass and call local shops and ask what they would charge to rebuild it for you!
Now instead of bitching try using the search feature cuz there has been multiple discussions about this subject on this board. A few in just the couple of months I have been a member.
Thanks please drive thru!!!!!!

at last count there were 87 gazillion posts about broken transmissions.
in addition to APS and Evil (which are the best), Fastmann offers a relatively inexpensive one at about $1500. no personal experience, but he's highly regarded in his other work, so i would expect good things.
i've made up my mind that when (not if) mine craps out i will replace it with one of those 3 and not screw around with a local shop that might or might not replace everything that needs replacing or upgrading. local rebuilds can go either way - great or awful.

I did not see in your post, on why you think the transmission is no good. Are you having a shifting problem, no 3rd gear or goes into 3rdat 50mph. Or maybe a grinding sound coming out of the box. Dodge now has program on reman trans, 3years or 80k miles. If you want sent me a pm or email, I'll try help.
