diffrence between 2500 v10 and 2500 5.9?!?!?
so my question is this whats the diffrences between the two vehicles both are 1999 2500's one has the v10 one has the 5.9 litre i was told that the v10 has the diesel drivetrain with bigger axles, brakes, driveshaft and so on????? any help is appreciated thanks guys.
thanks man i know what my blue ram has but i was told the red one being the v10 had beefier parts to accomidate the v10 i was told it was basically a one ton. but again this was all hear say as i cant seem to find any real proof.
Blue should have two Dana 60's, red has a 60 up front and a Dana 70 (AT) or 80 (MT)in back. Red has a much bigger cooling system than a V8,V10's and diesels use the47RE tranny, diesels and V10's had the 241HD with PTO.
That's a gas 5.9 in the other 2500 right?
The v10 would definitely have a beefier trans (47RE) compared to a identical 5.9 gas and maybe a HD transfer case.
I think they will have the same DANA 60 axles though.A 3500 should have DANA 70 axles.

yes the blue dodge is a gas 2500 with the 5.9 litre 5-speed with 3:55 gears
red dodge is the v10 with automatic and 4:10 gears.
any idea weather the brakes/driveshaft/any other main drivetrain componatesare any bigger? or are they basically the same besides the engine trans, and the possible dana 70 rear axle.
