Default Valve Covers

I am almost ashamed to ask this question, but really need to. Here it is, just put in a different motor in my 1998 Ram 1500. Been several months since striping my old parts off and getting them on the new (used ) block. It has been so long that I have forgotton which side the valve cover with the oil fill cap goes on, I think it is the right (looking from behind truck) but am not real sure. Anybody want to help an old man who can't remember his own name most of the time?

Thanks in advance,

[X(]

Yup on my 01 360 the oil fill cap is on the driverside. So from behind the motor the left and infront of the motor would be the right.

Being a bit sarcastic I think you should blaze a new trail and locate the oil fill in the most inconvienant location. Soinstall it on the right side(looking from behind) that way it is really messy when you do an oil change.[8D]Then when you put the other valve cover on your motor the PCV valve hose does not reach.....

All in good fun
