Tranny problem...
95 Dodge Ram
I recently changed the filter and the tranny fluid on my Ram and was driving it around for a fewweeks when all of a sudden the truck started to lose power. I figured I would let it cool down for about an hour and see if it ran again, which it did. It then did the same thing again just a few miles down the road. It starts up and runs fine but after awhile the tranny does not catch, the truck just slows down and there I am sitting in my truck waiting for it to cool down. Anyway I can avoid buying another transmission? I believe it could be the coolant lines being clogged butsomeone was told that wasn't it. Please help.

first off check the fluid with truck in neutral, not park. since the pump doesn't run in park you'll get a false reading.
next, what transmission fluid did you use ? if it wasn't ATF+4, its the wrong fluid.
last resort - i'd drain/change the fluid again. why ? just my opinion, but - because the new fluid contains lots of detergents, and if the old fluid had not been changed, and had a lot of sludge built up on everything, then your new fluid puts all that in motion again, and its possible your new filter is clogging up.
