what is the biggest tire i can fit in a stock wheel housing? i have285/75/r16 right now, but i would like to see of 33" tires would fit or if i have to stay down towards a 31". I have a 2000 dodge ram 2500HD with the plow package/towing package. anybody have any clue as to what size and what tire tread pattern i should use? its a daily driver in a heavy snow area in michigan's upper penninsula. let me know if you have any ideas.
I had 315/75 16s on my 98 2500 4x4 when I got it. I have since switched to 33 12.50 16.5s with after market wheels. They rub a little on the plastic when turned all the way and I hit a bump. If I had the stock wheels wil more backspacing it wouldn't rub at all. Your 285s are almost 33s.
hey can someone help me, I have a 99 dodge ram 1500 4x4 and i want to put some bigger tires on it. Whats the biggest tire i can go with with out rubbing? I'd like new wheels too, any suggestions?....
