Actually.... no. You can't. Doing so would throw the cam position sensor way off..... which would in turn throw injector timing way off. Resetting fuel sync would be truly interesting in such a scenario.......

The truck cranks over but did not start. So the Dakotas have to have the fuel done also? With the scanner

I would use a large, flathead screwdriver.

im having a slight problem with my truck. plug wires are sorta swapped. 1 and 2 are swapped around and i think so are 5 and 6..... would that mean that the distributor was turned 180 i have two plugs so far i can tell not firing. put new plugs in and just after a few turn overs 6 are black tipped and 2 still not firing. anyone have any ideas or suggestions. would be appreciated.

Make sure your firing order is correct first.

Need to fix that first. Otherwise, fuel sync is going to be WAY off.
