Thanks for the ideas I will prob take the lines off the cooler and blow it out. What else do you guys think

clutch material and metallic debris will clog the check valve. Replace the tranny filter, clean the magnet, blow out the check valve with compressed air.

Viper, I just rebuilt my trans myself and just used a drill bit to remove check ball. I learned that the factory trans does not pump in park, so that will lead to a sluggish start when shifted into gear. I added a jr kit to my valve body to allow it to pump in all positions. I have had no problems yet. Hope this sheds alittle on your problem.

I removed the factory check valve and cooler years ago and replaced the cooler with a HD unit from the aftermarket. Both OEM pieces are prone to plugging.

I also fabbed some brackets to put the cooler in front of the A/c evaporator. You don't have to do that, but I think it helps.

Yup when I had my APS tranmsission installed I had a B&M transmission cooler put on without the check valve.
