When my truck was stock I could not beat them. When I had everything done besides the cam I would beat them by a lenght or two. With the cam its no contest. A stock 318 4x4 will not beat a hemi. I dont care what happened. It was not a race if you came out in front. Sorry to burst your bubble. Unless it was a 4x4 4 door non hemi truck with some joker that put a wing on it.

 

maybe he was half throttle? and yes it does boil down to weight, gearing, who hit the throttle 1st, ect. well i know it was a real daytona. copper color. 20s. hemi badge. 2dr reg cab. big ol shopping cart. no bubbles burst indy, just thought i'd share the excitement. always been wanting to go against a hemi. now if i got beat by a K car then theres a problem lol.

 

I fixed it. But your right great running motors and its hard to tear them up. Ready to go with a little work not to mention it it wound up tight with that short stroke.
