Default Replace the intake manifold?

So talkin' to a local dude who's the unnamed expert on dodges about my leaky plenum. Yes I'm gonna pay someone to do it. I don't have the time or space to do the job and probably would wind up screwing it up anyway. So he says Mopar makes a replacement manifold that replaces the plenum and gets probably 20 more hp. I'm gonna have him do the work anyways but I was curious if anybody knew anything about this or what were the pros and cons. He say these manifolds are roughly around 200-300 bucks. What say you, Oh mighty Forum Gods?

He probably talking about the M 1 manifold. Has more top end power and loses a little bottom.

Ya, i'm sure that's what he's talking about. Word on the street is not to go with an M1 on a stock truck, you'll lose too much low end.

With the 95, you need the egr version, expect to pay about 700 for itwith the install kit included
Dont bother if your stock or bye bye bottom end

Yup sounds like either the M1 or the Hughes. From what I've read the Hughes is no better than the M1 just costs more. Neither one seem to be good on a stock or near stock truck as from everything I've read says you lose low end and gain top end in the rpm range where you will most likely never see it. As in above 6k rpms. I always said I wanted the M1 instead of fixing the pleneum if I had to do that but I got to doing research and decided it wasn't worth that much money to lose power where I want it so I ended up going with the APS Pleneum kit. That or the Hughes pleneum kit seem to be the best way to go.

^..not much to say, they said it all. But yeah, sounds like the M1 I was looking at this one too. Would kill your truck unless youve done some heavy work.

Just pulled my manifold today to do the plenum. Found cracks where the injectors are, so i bought this

ill let you know how it does. My motor aint bone/semi stock anymore so it might give me a little more gains than some others.

Mancini Racing has them cheaper. http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/alsiplin2mpr.html
I have one. Did not lose low end. Gain some high end power though not significant.

I saved the link incase my plenum goes. This would seem like a great long term fix. Great price too! Do I get the linkage on left or right? What are they calling left or right, from facing the truck or while behind the wheel?
