I'm just not a fan of the airhat. Ranging from the weird s bolt, to how it's crammed up into the firewall, to how it performs. After I finally was able to shove the cake into the firewall and get the s-bolt to thread into the throttle body, I put the breather into the hose and started the truck up. Took it out for a spin, and was instantly dissapointed. I lost my low end torque. It did sound very nice, but I wasn't a fan of the way I lost my snap from a stand still. After driving it for the day, I decided to take it off and return it to summitracing. I put my K&N back on and I'm happy with it again. I just was not a fan of this idea. After seeing the hat actually in my truck, it looked weird to me. How can a filter being shoved into the hottest part of the engine with nowhere to breathe be a good idea? It also looks silly how a fuel injected fitler is on my gas engine, just looks weird to me. I got my low end back with the K&N, and I'm getting my $75 back from summit. End of story.
So how would you say it compares to stock? Was it worse than stock or about the same? I like how mine looks but I like how much quieter the stock setup is a lot more.
