Well it definitely sounds like you have a clogged cat. Most likely burned out by the parts that were bad and you've now changed.

Start by changing the cat and then re-run her till she's hot and see if the cats still glowing. If it is,then you are dumping fuel into it and have another problem,i.e stuck injector, bad o2,etc.

Good luck man.

Sam, I moved your post to the 2nd Gen. Ram (1994-2001) section. You should receive plenty of feedback here from a very knowledgeable and helpful group of folks...

Sounds like you have a clogged cat. Take it to a local muffler shop and have it pressure tested. Chances are they will do it for free, plus I'd advise that if it is indeed clogged to change both it and the downstream O2 sensor.

P300 is a misfire code. Are your plug wires in good working order/routed properly? Are they connected firmly to the distributor? What about the distributor cap and rotor?

cap rotor wires are all good routed correctly and timming is good spark plugs new everything is new and cat is getting hot when accelurating back fires what i'm thinking is gas is not burniing in the cylinder so i did copression test
and came out 150 all the cylinders for some reason there is fuel not getting burned correctly the only codes that came up is p0300 and p0306 miss fire codes and cat is good not cloged check that out
