Default Death Flash fixed and vacuum no longer an issue

Does that make sense?

I recently discovered my truck had been death flashed and bought a programmer, I have been very happy with the results, and also noticed that I no longer have my vents switching on long climbs. Would there be something in the death flash programming that would have made that be an issue?

Forum is looking good.

as far as i know (and can imagine) there is no direct connection between pcm programming and the vacuum operated defrost/heat controls.

my best guess is that you might be pulling a little more vacuum (?), enough to hold the defroster control in the right place.

which programmer are you using ?

Yeah, I wasnt implying that there was a direct connection. Superchips. I was wondering if the deathflash programming had a negative effect on the amount of vacuum the engine would produce, and if the reprogram fixed it.

I vacuumed, then I washed and waxed, all of it sucked (no pun intended)

It was the Armor All on the tires that really made it fast.

Armor is +20 to rwhp....less friction. Plus, makes tires really shiny, bonus for good looks + 5hp . Armor all total hp added 25 hp. Common knowledge ppl.

In all seriousness, quit using ArmorAll. It dries out vinyl, rubber, and other petroleum based products. McGuire's or something better suited for tires is what you need to use.

All my friends who use armorall complain how their dashes, steering wheels, stuff like that are cracked from using their products. Steer away from Armorall

Yep. Believe it or not, the best thing to use is a jar of Vaseline. The petroleum is absorbed into the surface. Apply and let sit for an hour or so and then wipe clean.
