camber issue
ive got a 99 ram 4x4 the front driver side tire is leaning outwards, meaning the inside of the tread is wearing really badly. top of tire is inwards and bottom is outwards. the caster is fine, the camber is seriously out. will an alignment fix this issue? is there anyway to adjust camber on this truck. i believe it has a solid front axle.
i appreciate any help guys, thanks.

Not sure how you are measuring your camber and caster, but you can't eyeball it. You need to take it to a shop. If your tires are wearing on the edge, it is most likely your toe is off. Tires that are in bad shape should be replaced before you get it aligned.
Camber is not adjustable from factory. Check your wheel bearing for play.
It's possible your axle got tweaked during a collision.
You can get special offset ball joints to correct slight camber issues.

if the drive side tire is leaning outward, that would be positive camber, and that would mean the outside of the tire would wear faster than the inside. so if the inside is wearing quickly, then its the toe. alignment should do the job
Jack up the side in question (do it right, and safe) and see if you have play in the wheel like you see in this video.

I believe he's saying his tire is leaning like this /

Jack up the truck and grab the wheel at 6 and 12 o'clock and wiggle. If you have play at 6 and 12 o'clock, but not at 3 and 9 o'clock, it's ball joints. Movement everywhere is usually a wheel bearing. And those aren't cheap for us.

I have heard people here who are able to take out their old bearings in less than 30mins a side.
the actual parts are about $100-150 for the hubs (Set of two). but while you have the axles out, best replace the u-joints and if your bearings were bad, then you should replace your axle seals. the angle your tires put on your axle with the bad bearings is enough to wear the seal out quicker.
So for all the parts its about $200.
