i used the streetfire wires from MSD 8mm and work great. plus only $45 at my local Checker.

If high quality silicone is used
7 mm is just fine
and will continue to fit the existing wire holders

My dad and I just finished installing some MSD 8.5mm Superconductors and they seem pretty nice. $82 on special order from Autozone. They seem like they're of good quality, but havent gotten to test em yet, since the front end of my truck is still all apart.

Summit has an 8mm silicone wire set with cap and rotor with brass contacts for $47.95.
It says wire separators are included, too.
I haven't tried them, but probably will.
