Default big problem..need answer

ok, i went wheeling, got stuck, tailpipe was under, got pulled out backwards, now the problem is it doesnt start, the night i got stuck, it ran fine,m i parked it and then drove it the next morning and it had no power, overheated, and now the truck hardly starts, when it does it doesnt run for very long, stalls out. i have heard from one guy that is could be the head gasket, me and my dad,, and my grandpa all say its probably the cat is collapsed, and or the muffler is plugged. i dont knwo, any suggestions. i can answer questions to try and figure this out so i can drive my truck again

Take out and clean your O2 sensors, especially the front one. Had the same problem with mine right after wheeling, ran like crap when it would start. Cleaned out my sensors and it worked fine thereafter. May not be the problem, but if it is, its an easy and quick fix.

The O2 sensor you need to be concerned with is the one right in front of the catalytic converter (it screws into your exhaust pipe). Unscrew it, clean it out and then screw it back into the exhaust.

I'd clean both of them, but the only one that has an effect on the engine performance is the O2 sensor in front of the catalytic converter (it controls the air to fuel ratio).

you might even try leaving the o2 sensor out, just to see if it will crank and just in case the muffler is completely blocked. the little o2 bung might give you enough exhaust to crank. then again you might have to disconnect your pipes.

If you sucked water up into the engine then maybe, but you shouldn't have been able to drive it home after wheeling if that was the case. Check the easy stuff first.
