did that already...In fact it was the first thing I checked. Do I need to maybe replace a switch in the steering column?

electrical can be a real witch with a "B" to track down. I had a problem with the driver's side door lock intermittently working and then not working. It turned out the plug connector wasn't mating properly. I bent the male ends so that they would make a better connection to the female end and it's worked well since.

You might want to check if there is a loose wire coming into the fuse panel.

its funny that my electrical acts up when it get very humid. I am in the chicago area and it has been raining since yesterday. I did the good old fashioned hit the column....worked for about 30 seconds then back to working when they want to. I did check the wires going to the fuse panel and all seemed to be connected properly. I checked all the grounds (that I could see) and they are not corroded and connected the way they should be. I have the same issue with my brake lights at times....they work....don't work...stick on.....what a pain in the rear......

anywhere you have a plug type connection, that'll help with the moisture problem.
