ok thx i got the projectors about right now they can come up a bit more but their no possible way to move them up anymore so i think im gonna take them to a friend that i know that has a body shop. but im still having a problem with my non projector beam not being bright at all. im thinking since the stock should only have 1 bulb for the highs/lows its messing it up when i switch back and forth. u guys think i can fix this problem by taking the "plug and play" device out and splicing them together so they both would function as 1 bulb? b/c the projector never turns off when i switch over just dims alot PLEASE HELP T.T

thats not the problem. i cant even see when i change to them from my projectors almost pitch black. they are aimed right also. my fog lights done even turn on anymore due to this as well b/c i don't think its complete changing over from highs to lows. like i said the projectors just dim and the other beam barely comes on. and fog lights only work with lows on so what would happen if to cut the plug and play crap out of it and hardwired them together would the projector and the other beam work as one high and one low then? b/c them both projector and other beam should come on for highs then when i hit the switch they should dim for lows what would happen? im thinking its a power issue

Mine got a 3 year warrenty. Any problems I just send it back and get another sent out. I am intrested to see what the 5k's look like on our trucks, mind posting some daytime pics? Ill get some night pics of mine tonight and post em up.

Not trying to knock your choice Viper. And there are some kits that sell for 300+ in comparision 119 is not on the terribly expensive side.

BTW: My guys kits regular price 119.99 now.
You do not have Bosch ballasts. There is no way. Bosch does not sell retrofit kits. They only sell directly to MFG's. You most likely have a knock off China kit. The kits I use have a lifetime warranty, waterproof as well. However I wont trust China to waterproof my toys, I use encasing material on them to seal them properly. I'm not trying to knock you, but I know a whole heck of a lot about HID lighting. I'm a reg over at HIDplanet.com, I also do projector conversions for a local shop here in San Diego. If I ever get around to doing a proper conversion on my truck, Murano projector's FTW.

I have 5000k in my truck. Let me go hunt down some pictures for you.

These photo's are ****tacular low shutter speed camera phone nonsens, but the color is correct.

If you think its a power issue, check out the last DIY in the DIY section. It is a tutorial on how to wire your Dodge with relays so that you can route power straight from the battery.

I think its an issue with the projector. I remember reading a while back on pavementsucks, that the projector's for these trucks are horrible.

And I'm not saying its not a projector issue, but he thinks its a power issue, so I offered him the solution for that. If that doesn't work, and I agree with you that I think its not, then the relaying won't help much, and he'll be back.

PROBLEM SOLVE!!!! i was right

the ground wire that ran to the high beam on the plug and play wasn't grounding ( it was wired right just wasn't making a good connection ). so i cut the wire from the plug and play going to the high beam light and re attached the ground to the truck frame ( had to do it on both sides). the high beam light now gos off when i switch between highs and lows and the projector cut off and the high beam turns on. its daylight here now but i can already see a huge improvement it the brightness of the bulb/light output. aslo my fog light turn on now when i turn my lows on.problem solved! thanks for all the help.if anybody gets these and needs help setting them up i would be more then happy to run you through it.

I know it's well known over on Pavementsucks.com that you have to do that but maybe not enough guys over here have installed them to know that.

As for bulbs looks like you already got Silverstars. I like Farenheits quite a bit though. They are mostly just a pure white. Maybe a slight hint of blue but mostly a pure white. I really like them.

My 2nd choice would be the Cuzo bulbs. These are if you want a little more blue look to them while still being a decent bulb. These have a slight bit more blue than the Farenheits.

I've never tried the Euro Designs Jason.W likes but I have a buddy that used to sell them in his online car part store and he also used them in his car and loved them.

I've tried lots of bulbs and those two are what I like best of what I've tried that you can easily still get. I really liked the Eurolite Fusions or Crystals but they are hard to find now.

As for Jason.W saying to stay away from Nokya I agree with that. I tried a set in my truck and couldn't hardly see the road. They had a really nice color to them but for some reason it looked like they lit up the road the same color as the road was so it was hard to see. Especially in the rain which is where most blue bulbs are horrible. I liked the color but that was about it. I ended up taking them back to the store I bought them from after using them for a weekend.

I then tried the Nokya Arctic Purples in a Honda and the first week or so they were awesome. Had a pinkish purplish color and lit up everything on the road purple. They weren't any brighter than the previous bulbs and I think maybe even a little less so than the Eurolite Fusions I had in there before. I had done the 9005 conversion with the fusions though. Anyway they didn't seem quite as bright but you could see fine and they looked awesome. After about a week the color all wore of and now they are white but that's it. Just white maybe a slight hint of purple but not much and you would really have to look if there is any. I don't recommend them due to the coating seeming to wear off after a week.
I don't know if the Arctic White bulbs I used would have had the color come off or not as I didn't have them long enough to find out.

Sweet, however you need to aim them. Projector's should not look like that unless you are directly in front of them. They look to be too high.
