Thanks, I saw where you cut the ground from the high beams away from the harness and anchored to the truck, I can do that. Do you happen to remember the bulb # that's in the main projector? The 9005's are the standard single beam IIRC, maybe it's the exact same thing??? I can get Hella's at the local FLAPS as well as the silverstar ultras. Are they any brighter? They also have a "PILOT" brand, but it looks a little ricerish. Don't know about them but they're 29.99 compared to the 49.99 Silverstar Ultras

Silverstar Ultras are not worth it. Even if you don't go with my cheesily named brand of bulbs that I like, save yourself the $$$ and go with a different brand of bulb than the Silverstars.

No offense to anyone that likes them, but usually the only people who like the Silverstars are the ones who've never tried anything else other than Sylvania junk.

Have you bought any other bulbs to compare them though?

I have no doubt they are bright, its just that there are brighter out there for less.

And I bet you they will last under a year.

Okay, so I stuffed them in tonight, cut the high beam black ground wire, grounded it and reconnected the battery. I have a constant Blue Hi beam light on (key in or out of the ignition, no matter which way you click the hi/low switch.) but no High beams at all.

At one switch setting The projector comes on and was bright enough to drive by. Not 100% sure how bright it's supposed to be. On the other switch setting, the projector turns completely off and I get no high beams at all, but the high beam indicator light is on constantly. This tells me I'm tapped into a constant 12V+ source which is why the Hi beam indicator is on, but why it's not switching is confusing me. Do I need to just cut both hi beam and projector Ground wires and gground them to the Chassis? Man, I hate electrical work.

I think the Friggin PnP plug is wired up wrong... Anybody got a diagram? The lights didn't come with an ounce of documentation.

The leds and Halo were both wired into the turn signal harness, but they don't seem to light up very brightly. The leds had a black and red wire and the halo had a black and white wire, so I matched up the 2 Blacks and the white and red and spliced them into the signal Harness. They work with the headlight switch so I think I'm solid on that.

I have read on pavement sucks.com that some people are trimming, or cutting down the shield
in there eBay projectors and they are producing a good beam with HID's, although I'm sure that it is not aimed
perfect.

To add to that as far as legality, I live in Mississippi, and to be honest you see all sorts of jacked
up headlights around here. I am former Law enforcement and I never remember ever using
headlight beams as probable cause to make a stop.

I am wondering if I could experiment with this until I am able to get the time to go thru with
the full retrofit.

Connect any ground from the projector to the ground wire coming from the in-cab headlamp switch. I ran into that problem a couple times trying to follow other people's headlamp relay write-ups, but when i used the ground to the cab switch, everything worked like it should.

RRARRRGHHGHHHHHGHGHGHGGHGHGH!!!!!

I have never had anything frustrate me like this.

I re-connected the ground wire to the PnP adapter and returned it to "stock" form. I have the Exact Same Problem that bizlebee had: projectors are on, but the blue Hi-beam indicator stays on and the hi beams do not power up totally, nor do the projectors turn off completely. It's like the circuit is "half open"

So I cut the ground wire to the highs and grounded them to the truck exactly as bizlebee pictured. The Blue Hi beam indicator stays lit no matter which way the switch is thrown (or key out for that matter), but the projectors light up fully on one setting and then turn completely off on the other, but I get NO High Beams.

Could this be the correct wiring but I have possibly blown a fuse or relay somewhere for the high beams? Would that cause the blue hi beam indicator lamp to stay on? That's all I can think of at this point.

Here's how the PnP harness is connected in the original harness:
The red high beam wire connects to a red wire in the factory harness.
The black ground wires in the center connect to a pink (or purple) wire with a white stripe in the factory harness.
The blue projector wire connects to a pink (or purple) wire with a red stripe.

bizlebee, could you check that for me? I can't see the factory harness wires in your pictures.

ill look into it tomorrow ( its dark here ) did you change the 9005 stock bulbs? if not maybe the ones that came with it are busted. I only cut the ground from my hi beams and grounded it to the frame not the projectors.
