Default air bag light

The other day I was driving when I noticed my "air bag" light had come on. Since then it continuously goes on and off in intervals anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. Is this some sort of electrical issue? Any ideas how I can fix it? thanks.

Sounds like your clock spring is going these are a common fault. it is possible to change out yourself if you are happy to do it. I had the same problem changed the clock spring out and airbag light hasn't been seen since. just remember if you do it yourself to read the chapter on the replacement a couple of times so that you are comfortable with doing the change and follow all the warnings and cautions in the manual.

hope this helps
