Tranny shifting points

well i just programmed it and there was nothing in the settings for shift points anyhow so the web page lies or its no applicable for my truck. i will check the tb cable tomorrow at work. Thanks

While the TV cable sometimes needs to be adjusted it isn't something that fixes all shift issues and if it was that simple it's something the shop should have done to fix it. I wouldn't want to mess with that stuff. I'd make the shop do it.

If it's advertised for that, and it doesn't do it. Send it back or call and say WTF. And no you are right HM, it doesn't fix all, but it is very easy to do and can at least eliminate one thing.

Its not applicable for your truck. You cant adjust the shift points with a tuner

it eventually has to go back to the shop AGAIN oh well. i mainly got the tuner for the gas milage increase and so i can adjust the speedo to the larger tires

Tazman, if you look at the fine print on Hypertech's website, below where they brag about the stuff you posted earlier...

"Features depend on year, make, and model of vehicle."

EDIT: And if you look at the specific product page for the Max Energy for our trucks, you'll see it doesn't mention anything about shift points. Just always gotta look in the fine print.

nope,no shift point changes for our trucks with any of the programmer's. its not controlled the same way as lets say the 03 and up hemi's.

Any of the new dodge pickups with the new 45/545RFE, You can control just about anything with a tuner. They are completely electronic. The internals are very similar to the Chysler front drive transmissions (604/606).
