Default Gauge mounting options?

I used to not want a pillar pod although now I'm thinking that may be the best option. Anyway, what do you guys like? I've seen one thing where it mounted on the dash bezel but I think it was forsale saying they weren't made anymore. I liked it best. Anyway, I can't find a pillar that replaces the whole thing for one gauge and I don't want to run 2-3. I just want a transmission temp one. I don't really like the screw in gauge pods that just hold one. I have a Faze one in the older Honda and only like it okay. Any suggestions or new places I might not have thought of? I don't like the look of the one that goes on the steering column either as it looks like it blocks part of the speedo which I don't want.

That's my favorite so far but I don't want to run 3 gauges and not sure how it would actually look. I'm thinking I may just get a pillar pod.

There is a single pod for the steering column made by autometer:

I installed a dual pillar pod a week or so ago, I like it. Its an autometer that I snagged from Summit Racing. The do have the single steering column guage, but i think it blocks too much of the instrament cluster. +1 for the A/F guage, but if I had the money I'd have a wideband.

I have the steering column pod, and it blocks very little of the instrument cluster. On the cluster like mine (without a tach), it blocks the speedometer in the 0-5 mph range, and the 4x4 light. That's it. A slight tilt of the head lets you see what your missing if you so desire. You get used to it very quickly. I highly recommend it as a gauge mount option.

Here's a picture of it. As you can see, it doesn't block much, and this is with the camera held at about the level of my chest. Blocks even less when seen from your eye level.

later tonight, i'll post pictures of my other pod that houses my trans temp gauge and diff temp gauge. It's mounted below the ashtray, and points up and slightly toward the driver. I like it a lot.

If anyone ever sees
a tiny one inch diameter 0-30 inch Hg vacuum gauge
with the connection coming out the back
please post whatever device it was on.

I saw one once
and would like to put a similar vacuum gauge
where the fog light switch is
beside the Overdrive On/Off switch
