Default pulling to the left; poor handling

My 97 1500 began pulling to the left about a month ago. I took in the local Dodge dealer just the other day and told him that so we booked an alignment. They also swapped my front tires from side to side. They said my toe out needed slight adjustment, but otherwise it was all good. Well, I would say nothing has changed after that appointment. It still pulls left and handles like **** on gravel. I remember hearing that these trucks had bad track bars...
Any thoughts???

I have crappy control too. i tried r/r TRE's and ball joints. Today i am replacing the track bar. The jopint on the DS has gone bad. although i didn't have any pulling issues my treads wore on the outside really quickly. Good thing they are old!! Another thing i cama across but i don't think it has anything to do with pulling, maybe the handling on the dirt road. My upper control arm bushings were shot too. This is getting fixed today also. I will let you know how it goes.
Good luck!!
Fred

Make sure both calipers are sliding freely and the hub bearings are both ok. Raise the front and spin both wheels and see if one is draging more.

Yup, calipers and hubs/bearings are ok. If its the track bar, what are my options? Is moog the way to go? Was there a service bulletin for them?

Yeah at least you 4x4 guys don't have the stupid ball-joint on pittman arm. That thing turns your handling and steering into jello when it starts to go bad.

bad toe will cause a wander
caster on side will cause it to pull that direction during a brake
also it will pull toward that side of your vehicle with most camber

if your steering wheel is crooked while your driving its your toe....otherwise if it was caster or camber they should of caught it....also check your thrust angle just to make sure it on

I have to replace my trackbar too. I'm thinking of using LukesLink and getting a new bushing for the other end. This will cost about $80 total, and some people claim will last the life of the truck.

I wouldn't just replace the trac bar without making sure it's bad. I would think they would have noticed if it was. And a bad one will make it wander, I don't think it will pull just to one side. At least in my experience.
