Need Hyd Roller Lifter Recommendations
I'm now in the market for a new set of hydraulic roller lifters. What can you guys recommend? I've heard of the Rhoades Lifters. Are there any other high-quality lifters out there that I can run with a mild cam and stock valvetrain? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I thought that Rhoades lifters were mainly for trucks running too low a vaccuum. If proper vaccuum isn't an issue, they are probably overpriced and overkill for your application. Just go over to hughesengines.com and get the mopar performance lifters. I think they are 8.50 a piece.
That hughes 0814 cam should be fine on vaccuum with a 114 LSA, but you can call them and ask.

For the old Chevy flat lifters, we used to "pump" them up in oil before installing them, but they say this is not required for the Chrysler rollers. I'm half tempted to just put the old lifters back in since their rollers seem to be in good shape with no noticeable play.
I will check out Summit and the other vendors today. Thanks to all for your replies.

Here is an article that says you can swap in a new roller lifter cam and use the old roller lifters:
