If the cargo lamps are working pull the dome light down and gently pull the wires toward you. You should have some slack in the harness. Try right at the center contacts in the bulb socket and test for voltage from the pink wire contact. If you have voltage there check the yellow wire contact for continuity to ground. This can be with the headlight control set to put the light on or with a door open so the light would be on. You could just have bad/dirty contact from them to the bulb. If that is the case polish the contacts by taking a pencil eraser and rubbing them down with it. I hope this works for you.

I'm starting to think one of the two wires is bad up there... both contacts are nice and clean, and I didn't get voltage off the pink wire, possibly because the yellow wire is a bad ground? I will test again and put the negative probe to something other than the yellow socket.

Did you get continuity to ground on the yellow with the switch on or the door open? If you did, don't worry about the yellow wire. The pink wire supplies both the dome and cargo lights and should be hot at all times. The dome light feed splices into it and is a just a short run from the light to the wire. You should be able to see it if you drop the overhead console down. Be careful taking it down since there are 2 screws and hidden clips holding it up. You can re-splice the dome light feed to the pink wire feeding the cargo lights above the headliner .

Okay. So I went to the wreckers to pick up a new headliner and a console ( my truck didn't come with a console) Took out the wiring harness that goes to the console, and it plugs in to the yellow and pink wires that weren't connected to anything under the dash. So I know where the console plugs in. I looked a little more at the wires coming down from the single interior light down along the kick panel and underneath the dash, and it seems like they go in to some big harness thats all taped up. If the little dome lights don't work either once its hooked up, I don't know what I'm going to do LOL.

Check the IOD fuse first. (it's the one with the pain in the keester plastic cover.) If it's blown, need to find out why. (my guess, the radio install has something to do with it.)

Did your truck come with the infinity system?

Check fuse #12 which should be the feed fuse. If it is good pull the dome light and check for 12 volts on the pink wire which is the hot feed to it. Also check for continuity to ground on the yellow wire.

Fuse 12 is in the fuse panel in the dash right?
