My interior light doesnt work. I dont think its the switch bc the cargo light works fine, and so does the dimmer/ headlight function. Replaced the bulb and checked the wiring. Any advice?

Check your door switches. You should be able to to pull them straight out, i can mine. See if the connector has come loose from either one of them.

****, I didn't even think about those! I'm gonna check them tomorrow. I suppose if its disconnected then the light wont turn on whether the door is open or not? I can't even get it to turn on with the doors shut just by the switch.

If you can't get it to light with the light switch on the dash don't waste your time pulling the door switches. The dome light operates by being grounded and if none of the switches turns it on there is either no feed to the light or the ground connection to the light is disconnected. Check fuse #12 which should be the feed fuse. If it is good pull the dome light and check for 12 volts on the pink wire which is the hot feed to it. Also check for continuity to ground on the yellow wire.

When I got my truck from the Department of Forestry, my dome light and my cargo light wouldn't work. I pulled the driver door switch, and it was disconnected. After I reconnected it, both the dome and the cargo light worked just fine. I've never looked at the schematic, so I have no idea why, but that's how it worked.

Both my door switches are clean and connected. I pulled the dome down and turned the switch on to check for voltage, but got nothing. I also traced the wire down along the kick plate and there doesn't seem to be any spots where the wire is exposed. I guess my next step is to unscrew the switch itself and check the wires there.

Check the fuse like I said before.

Pretty sure I checked it before, but I'll do it again tomorrow. Is that fuse just for the dome, nothing else?

It also feeds the power mirrors and cargo lights.
