had the fun task of doing a timing belt swap today. 5.5 hours start to finish. 2001 jetta. oh what fun

Did the timing belt on a 95 cabrio yesterday, sounds like we both had alot of fun yesterday! LOL

No intake yet guys, I'll call Marty on Monday and find out what's up. If it comes this week the first chance I'll have to put it in is next Saturday or Sunday. I'm anxious.


I did get the idle to calm down a bit. The pintle in the IAC had gotten very wobbly and loose and wasn't sealing in the TB properly. Replaced the IAC and it's much better now.

aw, now i'm insulted. not yet squirrel. i drive nails with that thing.

damn those iac's (and tps's). i used to think i understood them. now i just hate them. my latest, seemingly iac problem turned out to be tps.
