Default 96 ram 1500 ideas?

I have a 5.2L v8 96 ram....

I would like to make my truck a little project truck you could say? I want to make it faster and was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions. Any suggestions would be appreciated...dont really have a price limit so anything can go but not tooo expensive. I've been told I was stupid to do this to my truck but I like the truck and its still running fine so why not put money into it. Thanks in advance,

Chad.

turn it into a Indy Ram or SS/T tribute. then get a 360 motor and stroke it to 426 using the Hughes Hemisized stoker

Ah really? Thats cool! I'm going to update with photo's soon and then everytime I update it I will post it...only if it's noticeable. (if thats how you spell it..)

I need new lights and I want my truck to be painted black. Also, does anyone know where I can get a good looking body kit for the truck? I also wanted a hood scoop. I dont know if a 96 would look good with a body kit and a hoodscoop so let me know if it doesnt!

Find a 1996 2500/3500 v10 and swap motor, trans, pcm, accys. You can warm up the stock motor, do a rebuild or whatever your heart desires. You will have more streetable/useable torque and actually have far less tuning issues then a stroker IMO. The VERY mild Mopar Performance cam, headers, exhaust made a smog legal 390hp/500+ ft lbs of torque. The motor is so mild at that level it will easily take a 150 hp shot of nitrous. Its easy to get caught up in the stroker craze, but I haven't heard of very many success stories wit hthem. The Dodge pcms don't lend themselves to wild non-stock engine combinations very easily. The 488 v10 is already ahead of the biggest small block stroker in cubic inches. Weight is more, but that can be offset in various ways. Have fun and get ready to dig deep in them pockets
