I plan to put a 1.5" coil spacer in the front and replace my shocks (since they're in need or replacement anyway). I'm looking at Rancho RS5000's... and going with the 2-3" lift version for the front. However, with the rear shock replacement, should I go with 0" lift since it hasn't been lifted... or should I go with the 2-3" lift size?

The reason I ask is because I read a thread where someone said that because there is the 3" stock block in the back- that it is considered a 3" lift. I don't see how that is true- since it came from the factory with the block and is considered 'stock height'. So I want to make sure I get the correct size for the rear- I'm assuming that it would be the 0" lift (stock height).

Stock length shocks will be fine all the way around, anything over 2" you will need lift shocks. With the 1.5" spacer, you will get about 1" out of it, no need for longer shocks.

Btw, the rancho's are good shocks, expensive though.

 

Only 1" gain from a 1.5" spacer... maybe I should go with the 2" then. I just don't want my 265's to look too small- nor do I want the 'nose high' problem others have had with the leveling kits.
