for some reason the starter in my truck wont turn over when i turn the key, i can hear the clicking sound but the starter wont turn to crank the flywheel. i tried changing the starter and the wires from the battery to the starter and still nothing, anyone have any idea what this could be?

Have the battery tested before you rule out the battery. Some of the batteries they sell today are notorious for being defective. A low battery will have enough power to energize the electrical system, but it won't have enough to engage and turn the starter motor. Your have the classic symptoms of a dead battery.
