Hey guys i want to put on some of the orange heavy duty lights you see on 18 wheelers and Duallys on my 2000 1500. Anyone know where to buy them? and instructions, thoughts, ideas would all be appreciated too =]

You talking about the lites on top of the cab? You can get AEM ones at most parts stores. But you can also check the JY for OEM and it might even already be wired for them.

You can buy aftermarket replacements at napa. They are factory replicas. You will have to carefully measure the location, cut holes in your roof for wiring, drill holes in your roof for mounting, and you'll have to remove your headliner for routing wires. The wiring is simple, but the labor and actually butchering the roof would stop me from doing it. But it is very doable. I believe there are kits available in the JC Whitney catalog.

I have yet to put them on... I just haven't had enough time to devote to making sure I get these on exactly correct and it's not a job I want to rush.

Yes... they are for a 3rd gen... but I liked the look of those lights much better than the second gen lights.

They are OK... I replaced the bulbs with LEDs... and they look OK. But I think the Recon lights are a higher quality (get what you pay for), and would be what I use for a "nice" truck. The yellow one's went on my wheeler with dents, dings and brush pinstriping.

And no... I don't work for Amazon, but I have Amazon Prime - so I buy a bunch of crap through them.
