My friend bought 3 sets off them. Theyre all decent.

Those high low kits are trash. Anything with a shutter bulb is a waste of money. Servo bulbs FTW.

Not for those housings you aren't. The stock housings are very restrictive, so when aimed low they do not blind others. However yours by the looks of it are clear. No matter what you do, they will blind someone else.

I have similar if not the same housings as you, lastrights, and I tried a HID kit. Viper is correct, they were nice for me, but blinding to others.

I bought some higher wattage bulbs, and they are not as blinding as HIDs, and get plenty of light onto the road. Eurolites are what I found that are recommended by other forums. I believe HTM has a couple different kinds he likes as well, Fahrenheit or Cuzos I think were the brands, although I might be mistaken on that last one.

Of course, I don't recommend stock wiring for higher wattage bulbs. HD harnesses and getting power straight from the battery are a must with those, otherwise you'll probably be looking at a burnt out switch or melted bulb harnesses.

I wonder how those projector-style headlights would work with HIDs...

So what does work? Stockers and stock replacements only?

Either using a PnP kit and dealing with the slight glare issues, or do a full projector retrofit.

Heck even on my R1 where I put HID's in it's crazy how bright they are to oncoming traffic. I had a buddy ride it and me drive the opposite way in the car and man were they bright. Now it lifts the front end slightly when you get on the gas but holy cow were they bright when he got on the gas. They were very blinding.

As for regular bulbs I do like the Farenheit and Cuzo bulbs. I've also tried the Eurolites Jason.W likes and I like them too. I'd say they are similar to the Farenheits but they have gotten to be harder and harder to find. You used to could find them just about anywhere. The Cuzo's are slightly more blue than the Farenheits. The Farenheits are just a pure white.
