Wink High and lows on at same time?

So I've seen post and diy to have both high and low on at same time...if you have the sport housing for lights...is there anyway to do it if you don't? I mean I have a single bulbs. I noticed when I switch to high to low both lights come on until I click all the way down.

I would love a way to do both without having to get the sports housing for lights...any ideas?

That is hard on headlight switches and generates more heat in the light also.

If you go with the 99/01 sport lights Daniel Stern . com has the wiring harness you'll need complete with relays that take the load off the switch.

Or you can wire it yourself. DIY #41 I believe.

When I accidentally had my headlights wired incorrectly (crossed the low beam and ground wires), I was running my bulbs with highs and lows on at the same time, and didn't realize it. I thought my lows were really great, and that my aftermarket housings just sucked for high beams. Burned through a bulb about every 6 months to a year. I usually attributed it to mishandling when I was messing with something with them, but looking back on it, I'm not sure.

the easiest way to do this is with a "brite box". i've got one, had it for two years, and love it. installs in 5 min. no problems so far.
here's one place to get it, there are others.
watch out for the proper model ( sport vs non-sport, and fogs/no fogs)

Good god that is a ridiculous price for a relay.

Just get a light relay, some wire, and some headlight connectors. You can do it cleanly for under $20.

Yeah get a standard automotive relay. Connect the 12v in to your battery, 12v out to your positive pins on your lights. (using splitter cables) Then connect the switching means to your factory harness.

If you rob the sockets off old bulbs, or you can buy them online.

If you get new sockets, it will probably cost around $30 for the whole setup. If you decided to just tap into your factory wiring and use some diodes, the whole mess will cost prolly around $10.
