I just tried this, spent the past couple of hours mutilating my TB. Can't tell a difference in the short drive I took it on, but it was only a couple of miles so I'm witholding judgement. It did give me the opportunity to see a little oil pooled in the back of the pan. Since there's no vacuum in the crankcase, no excessive oil consumption, and no pinging I'm going to delude myself into thinking it's just from the PCV system. For now anyway.
