i have a miss!
i just did my plugs and wires, i replaced them one by one so not to get them mixed up, althought some how i have a miss, i looked in my haynes, and i noticed somehow i had 7 and 5 mixed, so i fliped them, i have less of but still have a miss. any sugestions
make sure the cap is seated correctly on the dist. its easy to get it cockeyed.
locate #1 and firing order and double/triple check your wires.
try to separate the wires to make sure they are not touching and leaking current.
i don't know if this is valid or not, but i wrapped each wire in black plastic loom.
twist the plugs at the dist so they wires are not touching back there.
put a big smear of di-electric grease in each spark plug boot put each one on/off a couple of times. it will reduce sticking and ensure they seat good.
test for spark in each wire, using the little lighted screwdriver that flickers with the spark, or an old fashioned timing light.
if none of that works, pull off each wire one at a time and try to identify if one is not firing. sometimes this shocks the $hit out of you.
edit - oh by the way, if it shocks the $hit out of you then you know its getting good fire but when your teeth are chattering its hard to tell if the miss stayed the same or got worse..
