Default Directionals wont turn off!!!

hi everyone,
tried posting a similar thread but no one replied and i need help ASAP. Recently my 96 2500's directionals went on and will not turn off. The same is with my center console and plate lights (they all blink). On top of that, the truck wont start, wont even crank. Could this have something to do with my trailer tow electrical system?

Did you try disconecting the battery then hooking it back up after about 10 min? Some thing may need to be reset.

Or replacing the battery. Weak/dead batteries can do wierd-*** things.

you have a short causing the lights to blink like that. check all grounds, and make sure they are not broken. make sure no wires are exposed and rubbing against each other.

for the no start, check battery, cables and terminals (clean and free of corrosion) check ground going from negative to engine block, and negative to body. if the starter is good, its gonna be the battery.

Good luck. Hopefully it's just the battery. Chasing down bad grounds is a huge pain in the ***.

After all that work, turns out the guy who had it before me installed an after market security system. When i disconnected the battery, I set it off and it cut all power to my starting system. Found the little black box under my dash by the steering column, unplugged it, and it started right up.
