I`m sure it would be ok if you tore it down and built it to handle the turbo. There is a video on youtube of some guy blowing up a 5.2 with a turbo.

It is doable but be prepared to do some serious upgrades on your truck first.
i have seen some 2nd gen trucks that were turboed but the motor had been rebuilt to handle the extra air flow, and the tranny, and rear end were built too.
IMO a turbo on a 318 is not a good thought, but to each their own
If you do plan on buying a turbo you might want to check out STS remote mounted turbos.

I bet the first time you tried to run that truck hard you'd hole a piston in no time at all. He could have spent a fraction of that on a good nitrous system and had a fun truck. IMO it's too hard to tune a boosted Dodge with the factory electronics. This is coming from a guy who had a 1986 GLH turbo Omni pumping 26 psi of boost and knows a little bit about boosted applications. Theres a reason you see a lot of blowers for sale for these trucks, they all are problematic at best.
