Default Leveling kit and tire fit question

Hey im new here so bear with me if I dont follow protocol.

I drive the Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.2L. I have 285-75-16 BFG ATs on it, but they are going bald very quicky. So the tires I have on there right now are about 33's.

What is the biggest size your can fit on there without a lot of rubbing?

I was also seriously considering doing the 2" front leveling kit. Has anyone done it? Was it especially difficult or time-consuming?

What is the biggest size I can fit after putting on a 2" leveling kit? Im hoping for 35"s ....

You should do a quick search. There are a lot of posts on this and I think (not sure) a DIY on the leveling kit. I have not done one but, from what I understand they are fairly easy if you have some basic skills.
You didn't say what year or if you have the OffRoad package. You didn't say what tire you are running or are planning on running. You didn't say if you have stock wheels or have different ones. You also didn't say what kind of wheeling you plan on doing. You didn't say if you are willing to do any trimming. Depending on all of this, you could be at the largest tire even with the leveling kit or... you could go up to a 37.

If I didnt mention the offroad pack, you can probly assume I dont have it. Im in the 2nd gen Ram section, so you can assume its a 94-01.

i am pretty sure you can level it and go with 16X10 wheels with a 4.5in. backspacing and 33x12.50r16 with no trimming. and35's with a little trimming

Look who decided to be a dick all of a sudden.... We shouldn't have to assume. Aubrey while may have not caught the tire you are running, he did list other things that you do not have. What he was trying to say is we simply need more info. He also asked if you had the offroad because it does make a difference. Also, 285/75/16's arn't suggested on stock rims, but on the offroad rims it's ok as per manufacturers recommendation for rim size. Don't come on here being a smart *** and then ask for our help. Good Luck!

Just curious why aren't the 285 75 16s suggested on the stock rims?

http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs...t-a-ko/44.html

Stock rim size is 16x7

The recommended rim for 285/75/16's is for a 7.5" - 9" rim

You can do it, people do it, but not suggested.

I'm a hardcore one that does it. When I bought my truck thats what size was on it so thats what size I put on when I got new tires.

Unless mine being a 2500 has different rims... I have no idea
