Default Pics of the Install Finally

I while back, I installed a Uniden pc68ltw. I have dual 4ft-er's mounted on the barck rack. I like the look a lot but I'm not sure if I'm getting the best reception out of it. These are pics are from a while back...its set up a bit different now and I have a newer Cobra mic for it.

Thats just the dash light..I have microthins on the Back Rack and corner strobes as well. All RED. I am a call firefighter in Mass. We can only have red and white (with a permit of course), no blue, those are for cops.

Pa the law say 2 360 in blue. Thats all I got my 4 strobe whelen edge 2 star mini phantom and 1 whelen slim miser. All of the dash light are face front. Alot of ppl like the set up. The minis are well worth the money! And we dont have permits. There a sheet that goes around and we get card saying we can install/use them.

I like that alot bettter. We could do the same with red, but I just didnt have the money for the light bar. I aquired much of what I have for little to no cost. Recently, we have had multiple EVOC classes and they are stressing the importance of safe POV responses, so we are all up to date on our permits and what not.

Put in on top of the dash. They crack anyway might as well help get it started than buy a dash mat to cover your wires up.

I got real ambitious last friday night and moved my radio. You can see about where it used to be...I didn't wanna spend the $40 on a pre-made bracket so I made mine out of the ply-wood my old man had in the basement.

I loosened the front 2 mounting bolts for the middle seat and put a piece of light angle iron in it...and the rest is pretty self explainitory...

Forgot to get a pic, but I got rid of the FireStik's and I now have a Wilson Lil' Wil magnet mount up on the center of the roof. Much better ground plane and better reception.
