CB mocked in just to make sure everything is in the right spot fore i started actually hookin the SOB up...

all in and hooked up, so far i love the location...

now, i just need to get this beast tuned, anyone have a link on how to do that??? i think that the thing on the very front of the radio is a SWR meter, but, i ain't sure...

Well below is the image. I took out my stock cupholder because it was broken and the cheapest replacement I could find was $80 (no I did not check the junkyard). Plus everytime the cupholder would fall liquid would fall on my cb, originally installed on the floorboard.

Anyway I bought a mold cupholder that connect to my center thing for like $40 from ebay. MUCH BETTER BTW, not as big drinks but it works great.

I took the frame from the original cup holder and bracket my cb there...anyway look at the image, Im done writing!

IMAGE LINK FIXED....sorry got notifications of people asking to see it, forgot I moved it!

sorry, i know this post is pretty old, but, i figure i'd bring it back up, i like that shifter **** ya got there...

and, it's another BLUE interior truck....

Just a heads up a normal hood mount won't work on our trucks. It has to be bent cause our hoods are shaped different then other trucks. When I mounted my scanner ant I made my own bracket cause nothing else would work

Personaly I would go with the Firestik MK184R mount, as it comes with the firering(as they call it) coax cable, although you have to assemble the rg-58 end(they include all the parts needed other than solder, and a soldering gun)

heres a better pic of my install.

So seeing as we brought back this old thread, I am wondering if anyone has a picture of the actual fender mount. I am going to make one tomorrow (if i don't tackle the crown and pinion set tomorrow) and I want to see how drastic the bends are, and where the antenna cable is routed...

So I finally got around to taking some pics of my CB. They were taken with my cell, not the greatest, but you get the idea.

It's mounted to the cup holders (Yes, I have no cup-holders now), but it's mounted with wing nuts so i can remove it if I need to.

It's the Cobra 18 WX ST II (It's got weather channels! I love having those)
