well yeserday i swaped out my old ant bolt connector for a new one, and i swaped my rg-58 for rg-8x(mini 8) a slight difference was noted with the mini 8, i was able to hear farther away, though i still think my radio is partially f***ed, butim still saving for the pc78elite and after seeing bigtmans mount working fairly good, i think instead of bolting my bracket to the bumper, i think i might just use the bumper as the mount.

I don't know if you looked at my bumper mounted antenna on page26 but if you put a fiberglass antenna on I would put a spring on it my friend had his antenna mounted to his bumper with no spring and snapped it off at the base on the interstate

Yes very true. I had a fiberglass magnet mount antenna and it fell off and shattered to a million pieces on the highway.

I like seeing my 102" bent back at 80. looks like I could touch the car trying to keep up.
