400 Horsepower
he must be using the same calculator as the guy who said he gets over 20mpg.
Sounds more realistic. So that would mean my bone stock turd, is pusing 150hp at the wheels. feels about right. LOL.

well i think i better bet for this guy would to shot for around 275 hp and lighten the truck. there is alot of places to take some stuff out and lighten it. would be a cheaper way to go. 275 is a pretty reasonable number i think, and wish i had. lol
Like where?
Back seat is obvious, but after that it comes down removing door frames, speakers, AC, Dashboard....
These trucks are pretty no frills as it is.

Take the bed off
Realistically I should have added about 60 HP but you know how that goes...
How much HP rocker rollers give you? How much they cost to buy and install?
BTW truck is single cab so I guess there goes a little weight... not a whole lot.
You didn't have 243 at the wheels stock. If your dyno tried to tell you that, its wrong.
Stock they have 245 @ the crank and that's Dodge's numbers which are probably high. And there is no way you have 60hp from bolt ons. 30 is really stretching it.

Wasnt there an increase after like 98 or something? I remember reading somewhere during the second gens period that the engine went from 245 to 250.
But yes you can get 400 Hp 360 block is capable of pushing that, ut youd need to do an engine overhall (complete rebuild, swap out for nice heads..blah blah would need a very nice free flowing system. Def bag the keg). Which no is not cheap. You might get 30 hp from your mods if your engine was new and didnt have sludge and crap built up inside. Wear and tear kill engines pretty fast.
