So I'm going to purchase a muffler for my 99 dodge ram 2500 5.9l v8. I am leaning towards the flowmaster super 44. Anybody have any opinions or advice?

I actually started to consider the extreme like 3 weeks back when i watched your vid of your exhaust and ive also considered the original 40. Once i watched this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5GrnL6kGzA of the super 44 i started leaning towards a super 44.

original 40 louder than the 44, and the extreme is the loudest

if you want it loud just cut the muffler off and leave the converter on. then you will have straights with converters. or cut the converter off and get 10 series flows and it will me loud with that flowmaster muscle sound

eh probly not legal or good for your truck either hahaha.... go with super 44,s.... I personally don't like that loud ****ty sound... I have dual 44's and its a deep muscular sound... and you may not hear me a mile way but when your within 10 yards your body shakes inside.... Gotta love 44ss

no if you cut the cat off its illegal. but you can gut the cat knock the insides out of it and its still on the truck if you get checked. still illegal but its on there. not sure about the 10series flows. its just a one chamber race muffle but sounds loud and still has the muscle tone. i am thinking about going back and do that insted of what i have. but like i said the best way is check out youtube.
