I know this is an ancient thread, but I need the help... We've got a 98 Ram 1500 Sport. The strut for the reverse band fell out. Trying to find out of there's a way to get it back in without dropping the transfer case. Anyone have any insight?

Why would you drop the t-case?? You can put everything back together again, just by pulling the trans pan.... make sure to adjust the bands correctly though....

 

There's a thread somewhere(I can't find) on how to put it back in. Maybe GDstock will chime in. He most likely knows.
