I've got long tube headers, custom 3" 2 into 1 exhaust, magnaflow cat&muffler, modded kegger, taylor thundervolt wires, denso iridium plugs, sct tuner, 60lb mopar injectors, and a recently installed k/b supercharger. I'll be happy with 250-260 rwhp once I get it running right. Thats just by running the math, I'm not even sure if I'll attain those number in the real world.
.... and to answer the question why bother?
some people like to modify their vehicles because its fun, because they want to see what they can do with it. just because your not interested in putting time and money into performance for your truck doesn't mean it shouldn't be done by anyone else.

oh yeah, and ........ F CHEVY!! LOL i've ate a few of those on just a cold air intake.

actually I do like the chevy transmissions better, mostly due there 1st and 2nd gear ratios.

Careful man, you might blow the welds on the intake.

Then me and the mad scientist here will have to tear apart the block, and replace the piston frings you fried.

Here in a few years, I want to put a 4.8 in my S10. Ive been in the new Silverados' with the 4.8, and it was pretty damn fast. It could probably give my Ram a run for its money. The 4.8 had more power all through the power band, whereas my Ram would kick in about 2200 RPM.

Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and cameltoe, im impressed that you could make an omni have 300 HP. I really dont much care to get into a confrontation with anyone, I am in the process of building my own 360 for my truck (and im not done yet, but its not going to cost anywhere near the 10-15k figure mentioned), i currently own more vehicles than most people do throughout their lifetime (dodge, ford chevy i got a mixture...) , and I am no stranger to whats underneath those valve covers. so if you would like to call me inexperienced, by all means do it. I still think its a very do-able number. I appreciate your thought on the matter though.
